UAE warns of consequences after Iranian missile strikes hit region
Authorities maintain readiness and urge public vigilance
DUBAI – The United Arab Emirates has condemned in the strongest terms what it described as blatant Iranian missile attacks targeting the country and several brotherly nations in the region, warning of consequences if such actions continue.
The statement comes as authorities confirmed the situation inside the UAE remains under control following successful interceptions. Officials stressed that national security and regional stability remain top priorities amid the escalating tensions.
In a statement on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attacks constituted repeated Iranian violations and posed a serious threat to regional stability. The ministry reaffirmed the UAE’s full solidarity with countries affected by the strikes and stressed that the security of the region is indivisible.

Iran missile strikes
According to the Ministry of Defence, UAE air defence systems intercepted a new wave of Iranian missiles launched towards the country, neutralising them with high efficiency and without any reported damage. Debris from the intercepted missiles fell in parts of Abu Dhabi, including Saadiyat Island, Khalifa City, Bani Yas, Mohammed bin Zayed City and Al Falah. Authorities confirmed no injuries were reported in these affected locations.
The ministry added that the armed forces remain fully prepared to address any threats and will take all necessary measures to protect the country’s security and stability.
Officials also urged the public to rely only on official sources for information and to avoid spreading rumours or unverified reports.
Gulf countries react
Explosions were reported across parts of the Gulf, including Riyadh, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain. Iranian missiles were also reported to have targeted US military facilities in the region, including the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet service centre in Bahrain, prompting the relocation of American diplomatic personnel to shelters.
The UAE emphasised its categorical rejection of using regional territories as arenas for settling disputes or expanding conflict. It warned of grave consequences if violations continue, noting the potential risks to regional and global stability.
Saudi Arabia issued a strongly worded condemnation of what it described as brutal Iranian aggression. In a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency, the kingdom denounced the violation of the sovereignty of the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan.
Situation under control: UAE
The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority confirmed that the situation in the UAE is under control and that authorities are monitoring developments around the clock. It said all necessary precautionary measures have been taken to ensure public safety.
Residents were advised to remain at home when necessary, follow official updates and avoid approaching or photographing any debris or suspicious objects so that specialised teams can handle them safely.
Separately, the Abu Dhabi Media Office said operational systems across vital sectors are functioning at full readiness, ensuring continuity of services while prioritising public safety.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the UAE’s call for restraint and renewed its push for diplomatic solutions to reduce tensions, while affirming that the country reserves its full right to defend itself and safeguard its sovereignty, national security and territorial integrity.
The UAE also conveyed condolences to the family of a Pakistani national who was killed in the attacks, stressing that targeting civilians and civilian objects is unequivocally condemned under international humanitarian law.
